Dear Church Family,
As your Pastor, I am thankful and filled with joy by your faithfulness. On March 1, Cross City Church took a historic step forward, and your participation made it possible. You are helping us prepare to reach our community and the generations for years to come. From the beginning, I've seen God bless this project, but your generosity has been overwhelming.
I shared Sunday in our online services that our church committed more than $11,800,000 to the Generations Project over three years, and additional commitments continue to come in. More than 600 families representing more than 1,400 individuals have participated. We are part of a monumental achievement for Cross City Church, and we're praising the Lord for your response. Thank you for walking by faith!
So, what's next? We plan to begin the construction of our new facilities in August, but the work to prepare has already started. Even now, we are using existing dedicated funds to prepare our facilities for the new construction. I'm saddened by the unprecedented circumstance that prevents us from meeting on our campus. However, we'll use it to expedite work in our current buildings, preparing them for your use and paving the way for construction later this summer.
Unquestionably, the COVID-19 virus is impacting jobs, the economy, church services, and our daily lives. I wish I could deliver this message in a more personal way, but our current conditions prevent it. Join me in praying that we'll return to some sense of normalcy soon. Remember that however strange these days might be, our God is still in control! We're poised to move forward, excited about the future, and deeply grateful for how He is leading you to be involved. Thank you!
10,000 Blessings,
John Meador,
Lead Pastor
